| 🚌 West Auckland — Westgate to Te Atatū | |
| Westgate | Westgate is the heart of one of Auckland's fastest-growing metropolitan centres — a major retail, community and civic hub serving Massey, Whenuapai, Kumeū, Hobsonville and the wider northwest. The new Westgate bus station is now open, serving as a major bus interchange connecting the Northwest Busway (WX1, 11T, 11W) to dozens of local routes. The town centre has three large shopping precincts, an excellent library and community facility, one of Auckland's best playgrounds, and a strong cluster of gyms and fitness studios. |
| Lincoln | Lincoln Bus Interchange is a key transfer point on the Northwestern Motorway, connecting the WX1 to local services covering Waitākere Hospital, Henderson, Ranui, Swanson and the wider Waitākere area. It sits at the north end of the Lincoln Road retail precinct, though the main shops are over 1km south so it's best to transfer to another bus to access them. Nearby is an unassuming little takeaway that many say is home to Auckland's best Mexican food. |
| Te Atatū | Te Atatū Bus Interchange serves Te Atatū Peninsula and Te Atatū South, and is a major transfer point for local routes including the frequent Route 13 to Henderson, and Te Atatū Peninsula. The interchange sits close to the Harbourview-Orangihina walkway along the Waitematā Harbour, as well as the spectacular new Te Whau Pathway along the Whau River. |

| Karanga-a-Hape | The WX1 stops right on Karangahape Road — universally known as K Road, one of Auckland's most distinctive and culturally rich streets. Long the heart of Auckland's LGBTQ+, arts and alternative communities, it has also become one of the city's best dining and drinking destinations without losing any of its edge. K Road's full length of restaurants, bars, live music venues and legendary thrift shops are within easy walking distance of the stop. Change here to the Inner Link for access to Auckland Hospital and Ponsonby. The Pitt Street WX1 stops are directly outside the Karanga-a-Hape train station entrance, offering the best connection between the WX1 and the rail network. |
| Te Waihorotiu | The WX1 stops on Albert Street, right at the geographic heart of Auckland's cultural, entertainment and civic life — the Aotea Quarter arts precinct, SkyCity, the International Convention Centre, the Auckland Art Gallery, and the city's main universities are all within easy walking distance. Wellesley Street and Albert Street serve as a dedicated bus interchange — change here for Route 82 to Takapuna. The Te Waihorotiu train station, named for the stream once buried beneath Queen Street, sits right below. |
| Britomart / Waitematā | The WX1 terminates on Albert Street by Customs Street. The Britomart precinct has excellent dining, bars and shopping in the heritage laneways and post office building, including the Commercial Bay retail and dining precinct with over 100 stores and restaurants across multiple levels. Britomart is a major transport hub, connecting to NX1 buses, trains and the Downtown Ferry Terminal, minutes away on Quay Street. |
🚌 The Northwest Busway is being built in stages. Westgate station has now opened, with Lincoln Road station following as part of the first stage. A fully separated bi-directional busway from Brigham Creek to Te Atatū is planned for later stages, eventually extending into the city centre via Waterview and Western Springs. In the meantime, WX1, 11T and 11W use bus shoulder lanes and existing infrastructure on the Northwestern Motorway. More information on the busway project can be found at nzta.govt.nz.
