Pukekohe is the southern terminus of the Auckland electric rail network — a thriving Franklin town centre with a strong local character, excellent cafes and restaurants, major retail, and a range of community facilities. The electrification of the Papakura–Pukekohe line was completed in 2025, making Pukekohe a full part of the Auckland rapid transit network for the first time. The town centre on King Street and Edinburgh Street is a 5-minute walk from the station, with most amenities close by.
🚂 Te Huia — the Hamilton ↔ Auckland passenger train — also stops at Pukekohe Station as its southern stop. Change here to travel between the Waikato and AT stations between Pukekohe and Manurewa. Check tehuia.co.nz for timetables and fares.
